Oppo Upconverting Dvd Player Excellent Dvd Player What Would Be The Best Upscaler In The $500 Range?

What would be the best upscaler in the $500 range? - oppo upconverting dvd player excellent dvd player

I have a 1080p LCD, but my only source is my PC, PlayStation 3 and the common coaxial cable (without cable). I want to do something, upconversion (luxury regular) cable channels to 1080p. I have many DVDs, and my cable company provides only a few channels in HD, and loves the package.

I looked at the OPPO DV-981, which says its DVD player for upconversion. The thing is that I do not want to Upconvert DVD player, I want my upconversion of standard cable signals and modify, and display on my TV channels as usual.

This Video Scaler Atlona do a better job? It cost almost twice what it costs the DVD, but since its a stand alone upconverter is better?

Here is a link for the 2 products. If you hear any other suggestions to me.

At the moment I have a DVD-RW-HDMI upconversion / upscaling player. My TV is 62 "DLP. Frankly, I do not see the difference. Upscaler I have read that work better on plasmas and LCDs. I am free OTA HD channels. A key difference is that I have an old analog receiver (480i edition). But when I run it through my DVD player, the output signal is converted to 480p (digital). It is a remarkable difference for my TV. I'm looking for a new receiver, of course, but in time, it works very well.

I watch Gefen, as mentioned above. They are beautiful and useful, but are too new and not a criticism, which I've never found. I know that you can use the home theater receivers that have received upscales, but that is not my first choice.

For the price you want, I went with a true climber, but remember that everything you say will read, "as 1080i" or "1080p" or "high definition" for his resignation. According to what I see, is not so clearas my OTA HD (which is incredibly impressive), but for all electronic devices in HD, so for the Future (DVD, game console, VCR, receiver / decoder ...)

Good luck

You can also use products from Gefen, can make all kinds of switches and transformers. You can also the recipient that is included for all entries.

But as the poster above, if you want local television signals on the basis of an OTA (Over The Air) HD.

In my humble opinion, it would be a waste of money. As I say, "You can not polish a lot like." It will not improve signal quality by increasing the volume, you can not SD.The SD and HD PS3 Upconvert DVDs to 1080i or P (I can not remember) with the latest firmware if you really a DVD with the HDMI output to play. That's what I do with my 1080p. Instead of $ 500 on a mountain climber, you can get a definition of high air antenna and get free local HD is better than cable or satellite HD, because they are not the supplier or May to limit bandwidth DishNetwork system and pay for an upgrade from $ 250 for a dual-tuner HD receiver Woth 200 hours of recording time and an HDMI output. Good luck!
